Zipaquirá

Un week-end à Bogota, passage obligé á la cathédrale de sel de Zipaquirá, à 40 minutes de la capitale.

Classée comme merveille numéro un de la Colombie, la cathédrale construite entre les mines de sel, est une merveille de l’architecture colombienne moderne. 

Construite en 1991 et située à 180 mètres sous terre, vous pouvez passer une heure et demi sous terre en appréciant les jeux de lumière qui lui donnent un aspect majesteux.

A l’intérieur, nous trouvons le chemin de croix mais également des statuettes faites de marbre et de sel.


A week end in Bogota, a quick visit of the cathedral of Salt of Zipaquirá, 40 minutes away from Bogota.

Classified as the first wonder of Colombia, the cathedral was built between the salt mines. It is considered a wonder of the modern colombian architecture.

Built in 1991 and located 180 meters underground, you can enjoy your visit for an hour and a half while seeing the lighting effects that give the cathedral a majestic aspect.

Inside, you can find the cross stations but also a statuette made of marble and salt.
